Caring for Your New Titan Coated Floors

With a Titan Garage Flooring solution, your new floors will fully cure typically within one week, with the first 48 hours being the most important. During this period, the following tips will help ensure your floor cure properly. We also want to help you understand how you can best take care of your new Titan-coated floors.

First 24 hours:

  • Leave your garage door(s) open in order to allow for proper air circulation. While you can walk on your new garage floors within six hours, during humid climates as a best practice it may be best to wait a bit longer.
  • If it’s raining, leave the garage door open a crack so it air’s out, but does not get wet.

After 24 Hours:

  • Leave your garage door open as much as possible in order to allow for air circulation. You can walk on the floor and start setting up lightweight items on your floor.
  • We recommend that you do not drag heavy or sharp items across the floor. What may be common sense, but dragging heavy or sharp items across the floor may scratch the floor.
  • Generally, can pull your vehicles in after a full 24 hours. If there have been higher levels of humidity during installation and curing, we recommend you speak with your installation rep as they may recommend you give it another 24 hours before moving in vehicles.

Cleaning Your Garage Floors:

  • Your new Titan floors are resistant to most spills. You can clean up most spills with a cloth. If needed, you can use a soft bristle brush to scrub the floor. We do recommend you wipe up spills as soon as possible to avoid any discoloration. The best practice to clean your Titan floors is by using mild dish soap + water, with a mop or foam squeegee. We do not recommend using a power washer or buffing machine. Note when your floors are wet they may be slippery so exercise caution.

While our floors are resistant to most spills, your floor may be damaged by grease, oil, gasoline, transmission fluid, or battery acid. These elements can cause the Titan coating to dull in areas where the spill occurs. Ensure you regularly clean your floor and avoid the use of harsh chemicals or scrubbing/buffing/power washing machines.

We hope this helps you keep your new Titan Floors looking great for many years to come! We offer a lifetime + 15-year transferable warranty as well to help make that a reality.
